Desk Beauty Essentials

Having a brand new desk in my newly-decorated studio inspired me to write about some beauty favourites that I'll be keeping on standby. There are a few things that I tend to reach for when I'm filling up my online basket at Boots working and I like to keep them close in case of emergencies. These products are perfect for the top drawer in the office, or even your handbag.

Australian Bodycare Any Time Balm*

A handy pot of intensive balm is definitely an essential for me. This paticular one from Australian Bodycare is quite a versatile product; you can rub it between your fingers for a rich balm that can be applied on dry lips or cuticles without getting greasy, but I've found that it's quite grainy straight out of the tub which makes a lovely gentle lip exfoliator.

Boots Expert Dry Skin Concentrated Hand and Nail Cream

This is the only hand cream I've used for months, which is saying something as I went through a phase of hoarding as many as I could at one point. It's very intensive, however you only need a tiny amount so it never feels greasy. The fragrance-free formula never irritates my super-sensitive skin, either.

Essence Quick & Easy Sponge Nail Polish Remover

My nails are particularly prone to chipping nail polish within a few days (or sometimes even hours) of application, and sometimes it's just easier to whip it all off than to try and paint over the chip. I've been loving this nail polish remover from Essence, you just stick your finger in the pot and give it a whirl on the sponge inside, and then your nail polish is gone. It's so, so easy.

The Body Shop Moringa Eau De Toilette

I love the tiny fragrances from the Bodyshop - when I wear perfume I typically carry it around and top it up throughout the day, so these 30ml bottles are perfect. They're also the perfect size to tuck into a desk drawer. The Moringa scent is my favourite, it's fresh and floral and can be worn throughout the year but especially suits the warmer months.
