When I’m in a hurry but want to look like I’ve put a bit of effort in, I always go for a bold, bronze wash of colour on the lids. It’s an easy yet polished look that I’ve reached for time and time again.
I start with the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze, and then just apply it over the whole lid and blend it out at the crease (use a fluffy brush if you need help blending, but a clean finger should do the job). This acts as an eyeshadow primer and a base for the colour in one easy step. I like to set the cream shadow by adding a powder shadow on top, and love to use the Maybelline Color Show Shadow in 34 Lustrous Beige for this. It’s a smidge lighter and more gold than the Color Tattoo, so I mainly focus on the inner corners and centre of the lid to light up the eyes.
If you can be arsed to put some eyeliner on at this point then feel free to do so but I often don’t, unless I have a spare twenty minutes and some cotton buds handy. Instead, I curl my eyelashes and then layer on a few coats of mascara. I’m still obsessed with the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, and I don’t think that’s changing any time soon. And that’s it, really. Told you it was easy.
I promise this isn’t sponsored by Maybelline. I just really like their products.
What’s your go-to look on lazy days?
